Eric Armstrong brings more than two decades of focused experience to the Systems Engineering Services Manager position. Eric spent the past decade providing technical and strategic leadership to NSWC Crane’s GXT Systems Engineering Division. This support included developing and implementing Model Based Engineering (MBE) capabilities, initiating and chairing MBE Working Groups, and leading regular collaboration with NAVSEA, SSP, NAVAIR, OSD, and other commands to establish and advance MBE methodologies. He served as Lead Systems Engineer for the collaborative MBE pilot project – Next Generation Avionics. As Chief Engineer, he also served as the Requiring Technical Authority (RTA) for a portfolio of contracts, in excess of $100M. Prior to federal service, Eric established his engineering portfolio through his positions at EG&G, RTS – Manchester, UK, Alitec, and Armstrong Engineering, covering services from design and analyses Missile Support Equipment to CAD training and implementation. Eric holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Eric currently lives in Bloomington, IN and enjoys coaching his kids' sports teams, traveling and woodworking in his free time.
